A thirty-five-year-old circle, hosting the world
Vriksha Bonsai Circle was founded in Bengaluru in November 1990 by a handful of growers who met on Sundays to trade cuttings and argue about wiring. Thirty-five years on it runs monthly workshops, an annual show, and a lending library of trees.
Vrikshakalp — tree of life — is the circle's largest undertaking: hosting WORBAC 2027, the World Bonsai Artists Convention, under the aegis of the IPCC. It is the first time the convention comes to India.
